2018 AQHA Gelding

15 HH

Trigger is a stunning, golden dapple palomino with a commanding presence. He is a young horse that is good enough quality to be competitive in reining and yet gentle and kind enough for the entire family. He is well minded with no buck or bolt. A true gentleman. There is nothing he can't do, inside or outside the arena. Check out his pedigree! This is our go to horse for adults and kids alike.

Trigger has been trained in the arena on a reining pattern. He can lope small circles with his head a foot off the ground in both directions. He has a huge sliding stop and an easy, fast spin. Trigger can do flying lead changes and neck reins. Riding without a bridle? No problem! Trigger can steer with your legs! He does quick turn arounds, crosses tarps, and doesn't mind the flag. Trigger will even stand patiently while the little ones try to climb on top. He is so trustworthy the kids saddle and bridle him with ease. You can't put a price on a safe horse that leaves you worry free.

Ready for a trail ride? Grab Trigger! He will cross rivers, bridges and deadfall. He has been ridden along the highway and is good with all the cars, trucks, and farm equipment. He has been ridden in the mountains on the continental divide at 12,000 ft elevation in the Colorado Rockies. He has been ridden in all sorts of terrain and is sure footed. My 10 year old chooses to trail ride on Trigger. He is always willing to please.

Trigger is ready for round up day!! He has been used to gather cattle on 2,000 acres and loves to work. He has worked at a sale barn, brandings and drug cattle to the fire. He can work the gate like a champ. He has checked hundreds of miles of fence and even been used to pack salt out to the cattle. Trigger is not afraid of hard work!

His demeaner at the barn is as easy as they come. He comes to the gate to be caught and loads the trailer with ease. He is easy to saddle and bridle and doesn't mind a bath. Trigger is easy to haul and go down the road. He isn't affected by the travel. He stands patiently for the ferrier and enjoys the kids braiding his hair after his baths.

Trigger is sound 100%. He is ready to go in any direction you want to send him. Trigger has had all the right training and has been exposed to everything possible. He is pleasing to the eyes and is as cool as a cucumber. Don't miss out on this once in a lifetime chance to bring home your new best friend.

The Bays Ranch is located in Fairplay, Colorado deep in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. The ranch is located at about 10,000 elevation near the continental divide and consists of horses and cattle.
Brad and Jamie are 3rd generation ranchers. We are hands on and love working the animals ourselves. With God's guidance we love being able share our love of horses with others. The eldest daughter, age 21, resides in New Mexico training horses for the Bays Ranch and rodeoing full time in the warmer weather. Jamie and her 2 youngest daughters, age 10 and 5, spend all their time, after finishing their school of course, riding and training horses in the arena.
Most of the time, the family works together on a riding stable in the summer and a sleigh ride business in the winter. Creating a once in a lifetime experience for guests from all over the world. The stables consists of about 200 head of horses. Feeding, riding, training, and foaling keeps the ranch pretty busy. For fun, the girls head to gymkhanas and rodeos on the weekends.
The horses that the girls get to train get exposed to traveling, trail rides through the mountains, arena work, working cattle and so much more. Jamie and the girls love providing horses for other people that are the complete package. God gives us the ability to help find horses a forever home. Not just any horse, but a horse the whole family can love. My 5 year old would agree! Thank you for allowing us the chance to match you with your next horse.
