2018 AQHA Mare

15.1 HH

WHISPERED MEMORY, Prada, is everything you could ask for in a mare. She has size, athleticism, look, work ethic, and pedigree. While she still has plenty of years to give under the saddle, she would be a great one to ride now and breed later. Prada can be rode in a bridle bit and romels, or a halter, and be great in either. She has been hauled all over the west coast and has no problem eating or drinking on the road. I have owned her for the past 3 years, which means she got to come along with me to any and all high school rodeos, brandings, and barrel races. She is quiet and easy in a warm-up pen full of team ropers or barrel racers. Prada is an excellent ranch horse and can be rode out all day, drag calves all day, or a little bit of both. I have started Prada in the breakaway roping where she is coming along very well. She has as a lot of natural rate and doesn't want to run one over, but stays in her spot and gives you a shot. With a little more seasoning she would be ready to enter in no-time. I have used her for goat tying a few times as well. I know Prada would be the perfect all around performance horse but could also do ranch work during the week. I have been using her to give lessons and she is very patient and quiet with the kids. Lots more woah than go. She is my 4 year old brothers favorite horse and as he always says, "Can I ride 'Crada?'", since he can't quite say Prada. He rides her by himself and crawls all around her. Prada has been my go to horse for the past few years and is going to leave a very large hole in our hearts when she is gone, but we are so excited to see where her future takes her.

My name is Rachel, I am 19 years old, and I live on my families ranch in Southern Missouri. My parents just recently got involved in ranching, so I did not grow up around it, but I fell in love with rodeo at a very young age. I would practically beg my mom to take me to playdates and 4H shows. Eventually I worked my way up to high school rodeo where I ran barrels, breakaway roped, goat tied, and showed reined cow horse. I am currently on a college rodeo team and in my first year of getting my business degree. My passion for rodeo very quickly evolved to reined cow and I learned to submerge myself into every possible opportunity I got in the industry. I was fortunate enough to have a few trainers take me under their wing and from there I went on to work for several trainers on the west coast from roping to reining and reined cow. I am completely astonished at the things we are able to accomplish with horses and the way we can mold their minds. My passion for training is something I one day plan to turn into a career. I am a true believer of love the animal first, the sport second. I feel very blessed to have the opportunity to present a horse at such a prestigious sale, especially at such a young age, and I am very excited to see what my mare can accomplish.
